Dominic Clemow first began to write poems as a way of expressing feelings of sadness and loss after a relationship ended. His interest in poetry has grown and developed since then. He writes with feeling and passion, particularly about the pivotal moments of life, such as going on a date, marriage and break-ups - times when we are faced with choices that may transform our lives for ever. I love you more than words can say, More and more every single day, You're the one I think about before I go to sleep, And the one I'm happy with, so I'm yours to keep.
Autoren-Porträt von Dominic Clemow
My full name is Dominic Gerald Clemow and I was born on 2 September 1990 in Truro. I live in Truro with my parents and my brother. I have been working in Sainsbury¿s for four years. Eight years ago, when I was fifteen, I started writing poetry. It began with news from a friend of mine that someone I really cared about had passed away. I wrote a little poem for her (my first) called 'Missing You, Loving You'. Writing is one way you can express your feelings when you miss someone you love. Although continuing with my life as normal, I met someone. She lived a little far away, but I got to know her. I got to know who she was, how great she was, and she always kept me smiling. A couple of years passed and within this time, through speaking with her, more poems came to my mind. Love, though, isn¿t always as it seems. After deciding to meet her, my poems grew even more with words of love and comfort. Though after that first day of meeting her my wishes of seeing her again the next day grew, she never wanted to again. My poems are created with feeling, throughout my life experiences so far. She was my first love and she still remains deep within my mind, but our love was never meant to be... although forgetting her will be ever so difficult. The title of this book has been in my mind for about a year. I have chosen this title because it¿s very unusual and peculiar and because it brings to mind many significant events in our lives, such as marriage, going on a date, divorce and many other things we come across - including most of the happy things we come to in life and all life¿s important decisions. This I May makes you think and that is what life makes us do. When we are faced with major decisions, it is important that we make the right ones. I am also on YouTube, where I use my favourite songs to accompany videos. Lyrics, music and pictures have been combined for all my fans to enjoy. A lot of the videos feature love songs, and some have a little of my poetry on them. I
