In Greece, where I was born and raised, myths, poems, and fairy tales were a part of our everyday life.I have many fond memories of my childhood, sitting around the fireplace with my family during the long winter nights, listening to enchanting stories from the adults, and reciting the poems I had learned in school. I have always enjoyed telling my stories and reciting my poems to the captive audience of my children, now my grandchildren, and to students in the schools where I was teaching and now to the students in my substitute teaching classes. This is a very small sample of my poems.
