Carlos Costa, University of Aveiro, PortugalDr Carlos Costa is Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro. He has been Director of the Tourism teaching programme since 1996, which includes a BSc on Tourism Planning and Development and an MSc on Tourism Management and Development. He holds a PhD and MSc on Tourism Management from the University of Surrey. He is also Editor of the Tourism & Development Journal, the first Tourism Journal to be launched in Portugal. Dr Costa has also been involved in several projects and consultancy for the Portuguese government and other Portuguese organizations. He is currently a Visiting Professor in several universities around the world and has taught tourism courses in Finland, the UK, Greece, Cuba, Brazil and Goa.
