What Jesus showed us about how to save the world or how to ruin it

Produktinformationen zu „TWO ROADS (ePub)“
Most of us would agree that the world has some issues. Wars still rage, refugees search for safety, pandemics spread like Australian bushfires. Slavery has not been eradicated, and neither has extreme poverty or even racism. But what are we to do about it? Can we do anything?
Every now and then a powerful leader puts up their hand and promises change. 'Follow me and I will give you want!' But too often those pretty promises turn out to be pipe dreams, or worse, flat-out fabrications from power-hungry posers.
Two Roads tells the story of a leader who, like these, put up his hand, called people to follow him, and promised a better world. But unlike those other political leaders, Jesus' path to a better world was revolutionary, unexpected, and extraordinarily non-violent. His message was so influential that it changed the course of history, and so subversive that it got him literally crucified. Two Roads, grounded in the dust and drama of Jesus' dangerous first century world, contrasts the two different pathways we humans can take to impact the world, and shows us where they ultimately lead.
We can change the world, for better or worse. Two Roads invites us to follow Jesus along his revolutionary (but at times more challenging) road to build a better world. A world that works as well for refugees, children and minority groups as it does for billionaires and world-leaders.
