- Kids start with a square, add a line, a curved line, and some more straight and curved lines. They are encouraged to keep following along with each step.
- As they make their way through the steps, all the new pencil marks to make are shown in a different color so it's easy to know what to draw next.
- Once they near the end of the project, these young artists will start to see a drawing of an elephant appear on their paper, and all they need to do now is add some color.

Emily Fellah is a London-based children's author, illustrator, and librarian with a passion for encouraging children to read and create. Her early career was in design, following a fashion degree from the University of Westminster, and she has developed a range of popular comics and illustration workshops, which she delivers to schools and other organizations in the UK and internationally. Through her workshops, Emily has developed a fun character drawing method based on simple shapes, which allows plenty of room for the artist to express themselves. The process is now available to everyone through the I Can Draw series.
