[Revelation of the Name and Reconciled Life. A Study on the Doctrine of God of Kornelis Heiko Miskotte]This book contains the first analysis of the doctrine of God of the Dutch theologian K. H. Miskotte which has its focus on the revelation of the proper name of God. Miskotte has remained largely unkown in Germany. He was mainly noticed as a dialectical theologian like Karl Barth or as one of the fathers of the Christian-Jewish dialogue. Replacing Barth's trinitarian conception of God by the name of God he lays the foundation for an independent theology. His understanding of revelation as a revelation of the name of God is examined with the help of causal-descriptive theories on the function of proper names. They help to understand why according to Miskotte the statement "JHWH is God" is not reversible.

Petershans, SörenSören Petershans, Dr. theol., MBA, Jahrgang 1967, studierte Theologie in Tübingen, Amsterdam und Münster und war von 1998 bis 2000 Vikar der württembergischen Landeskirche. Von 2007 bis 2013 arbeitete er als Bundesgeschäftsführer der Evangelischen Jugend Österreich.
