Prof. Zhongliang Jing received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 1983, 1988, and 1994, respectively, all in Electronics and Information Technology. He is a national recipient of the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Program" Award, a Distinguished Professor in the "Cheung Kong Scholars Program" supported by the Ministry of Education of China, and a Young-and-Middle-Aged Expert who has made outstanding contributions to China's aviation industry. He is currently a member of the National High-Tech R&D Program Space and Aviation Expert Group (863 Program).His research interests include adaptive filtering, target tracking, information fusion, avionics integration, and soft robot control. He has published over 200 journal papers and 7 monographs. He is currently Editor in Chief of the journal Aerospace Systems (Springer). He has served on the editorial boards of various journals, e.g., the International Journal of Space Science and Engineering, Information and Control, Systems Engineering and Electronics, and Manned Spaceflight.
