Q. Ping Dou, Ph.D. is Professor of Pathology, Cancer Biology and Pharmacology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Dou's laboratory is one of the first to report that proteasome inhibitors rapidly induce tumor cell apoptosis, selectively activate the cell death program in oncogene-transformed, but not normal or untransformed cells and are able to trigger apoptotic death in human cancer cells that are resistant to various anticancer agents. He also serves on multiple editorial boards, including The Open Leukemia Journal, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Frontiers of Bioscience, to name a few. He has published 177 papers and has received over 5,300 citations.
