For Krause, it was a year that changed everything in his life. He went on an adventure trip to Sri Lanka and found his love of dogs. From this point on, Krause's life changed drastically and turned into something completely different. However, it also introduced certain dark elements. A life-threatening disease was only one of several strokes of fate. All these changes started with a small dog, who Krause brought home from Ceylon. Eight years later he turned his passion for dogs into a job, which he still carries out successfully to this day. All that was possible because of what happened one day in March of 1990 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. In this book, he finally gets to tell this very personal story.

Aus seinem reichen Erfahrungsschatz bei der Beobachtung von Hunden der eigenen Familie und der Ausführ- und Herbergshunde im Alltag seines Geschäfts, erwuchs die Frage, warum sowohl der Hund, als auch der (sein) Mensch, und beide gemeinsam, RITUALE entwickeln? Krause sammelte zahlreiche Beispiele anderer Hundeliebhaber und schuf einen spannenden Erzählbogen einer Jahrtausende alten Symbiose zwischen Hund und Mensch.
