The author demonstrates the typical applications of 5G in key industries based on a large number of practices and propose common capabilities and essential components for large-scale replication, and details the progress in the convergence of 5GtoB and industry standards. It presents the 6G vision and innovative ToB enabling technologies and describe key technologies, including semantic communication, on-purpose network, and cell-free ultra-massive cooperative MIMO. As conclusion, it forecasts the typical industry applications of 6G, such as metaverse, man-machine interaction, and hyper-connected future city.

Pengfei Sun graduated from Xidian University with a Master's Degree in Engineering. After joining Huawei in 2001, he worked his way up to serve as the Director of Wireless Network SingleOSS Product Management Department and the Chief Planner of Huawei Wireless Autonomous Driving Networks and the Director of MBB Automation Engine (MAE) Product Management Department. He has been working in research for mobile network and industry digitalization for dozens of years, and has extensive experience in network planning, architecture design, construction, marketing, and product R&D and management.Mr. Sun is currently the Senior Director of ICT Strategy & Marketing 5G-2B Solutions Department, and the Chief Expert in 5GtoB Solution Product Management focusing on 5GtoB solution platform planning, R&D, and marketing. He has conducted a large number of 5GtoB field visits and case studies in key industries and gained a profound understanding and insightful view in various key 5GtoB issues, such as methodology & modeling, incubation and replication of business models and scenarios, operation models, ecosystem collaboration, standardization, implementation, and project delivery.
