This book is a comprehensive guide to additive manufacturing (AM) product development. It offers a practical, reader-friendly approach to integrating the stages of product development. Dr. Stavropoulos holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sussex, UK, a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, University of Patras, Greece, and an M.B.A. from the HoU, Greece. He worked among others, as a Design Engineer (2000-2001) in Flowtronic Pumps Ltd, UK, Research Engineer (2001-2007) and Research Project Manager (2007-2009) in Laboratory of Manufacturing Systems & Automation and as WCP and Production Manager (2009-2014) at Crown Holdings Inc., Bevcan, Europe and Middle East Division. From 2014-2018, he was a Lecturer in Hellenic Air Force Academy, Department of Aeronautical Studies. Since 2018 he is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics, University of Patras.
He has been involved and coordinated major industrial driven research projects in manufacturing in the context of the European Factories of the Future Research Association - EFFRA, as well as the European Institute of Innovation and Technology for Manufacturing - EIT M. He is Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers - IMEchE, since 2000, registered as Chartered Engineer (Reg. N.: 594894) in the Engineering Council, the Virtual Research Laboratory for a Knowledge Community in Production - VRL-KciP, since 2004, Member of NATO AVT -258 "Future of manufacturing for military applications" and Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Technical Chamber of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
