Morris Ezra received his B.E. degree from Bharathiar University, his M.E. degree from Anna University, and his Ph.D. degree from Multimedia University, Malaysia. He started his career with the Karunya Institute of Technology as a lecturer in 1993 before moving to Malaysia in 1998. Prof. Ezra has over 23 years of experience in the academic field. He has secured nationaland international research grants worth more than RM 1 million. He is actively involved in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research areas include digital signal processing, wireless ad-hoc networks, mobile communication, optimization using PSO, and GA/IGA. He has published over 40 papers in international journals, conferences, and co-authored book chapters.
Shien-Kuei Liaw received double Ph.D. degrees from National Chiao-Tung University in photonics engineering and National Taiwan University in mechanical engineering. He joined the faculty of Taiwan Tech (also known as NTUST) in 2000. Currently, Prof. Liaw is Chairman of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering and Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering, NTUST. Besides inventing 40 patents, he authored and co-authored more than 280 journal articles and international conference presentations in optical communication, fiber sensing, and optical devices.
