He held academic positions at both Oxford University and Cambridge University but is best known for his works of fiction-such as The Chronicles of Narnia, The Space Trilogy, and The Screwtape Letters-and for his nonfiction-such as Mere Christianity, A Grief Observed, and The Problem of Pain-which still continue to attract thousands of new readers every year.
