Dort ist er Vertreter der Fächer Medizinische Psychologie, Medizinische Soziologie, Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie. Professor Dr. med. Henning Schauenburg, Arzt für Neurologie und Psychiatrie sowie für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie und Psychoanalytiker (DGPT), ist Stellvertreter des Ärztlichen Direktors der Klinik für Allgemeine Innere Medizin und Psychosomatik der Universität Heidelberg.
