Dr. Ren is an IEEE Senior Member and recipient of the IAMBE Early Career Award (2018).

Dr. Aishwarya Bandla is a Research Fellow at the Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology (SINAPSE), where she leads the Neurophotonics research group under the guidance of Prof. Nitish Thakor. Dr. Bandla holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Her research focuses on multimodal imaging and novel therapeutic interventions for neurological disorders based on a clinical translational "bench-to-bedside" approach. She has authored several peer-reviewed articles and won over 15 international conference awards. She represented the NUS at the Global Young Scientist's Summit 2018 and was selected as a "Future-Ready Leader" by the NUS Centre for Future-Ready Graduates. Dr. Bandla currently serves as the secretary of the IEEE Singapore Women In Engineering (WIE) affinity group and of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology (EMBS) Singapore Chapter.
